Sorry for not blogging for a while… work has been catching up to me and I have been attempting to study for my personal trainers certification exam that I take in July. Two days ago I was given this inspirational book that opened my eyes to what I really need to be focusing on… inner beauty not outer beauty. This book is called “I’m No Angel” by Kylie Bisutti a former Victoria’s Secret Angel contest winner. In a nutshell, which does not do the book justice, Kylie had been modeling since she was 14 and auditioned for the Victoria’s Secret Angel contest and she ended up winning and walking in the show. She ended up quitting because she felt that her modeling went against her Christian beliefs and she felt she was not being a good role model for children. This book opened my eyes and made me realize that probably the reason I could not accomplish my outward goals whether they be nutrition or fitness related was probably do to the fact that I’m not sound with myself on the inside. So instead of just focusing on losing inches and pounds and eating this instead of that, My new plan is to focus on inner transformation. My theory is that if I change whats on the inside it will bring about the change I want on the outside. I feel silly with this being the first time I’ve figured it out. I believe reaching nutrition and fitness goals are completely dependent on having a healthy mentality. I also believe that this transformation is only going to be accomplished with God’s help. Sorry for the long post but those have been my thoughts for the past couple of days.:) I’m looking forward to the change to come!
I made this today and added raisins and it turned out delicious!!!!! Easy way to make a cheap healthy recipe without having to pay six dollars or more for half the amount!
So today me and my roommate decided to tryout this hot yoga class in Columbia and let me tell you it was the hardest thing I think I’ve ever done! Don’t take this the wrong way, I absolutely loved it other than times when I felt really overheated. It was an 1.5hrs long, in a small room with a temp of 120 plus and thirty people, but despite the challenge I was competitive and it felt good to have an intense sweat. I recommend giving it a try! And I think I will be attempting to do it once a week. It required a lot of strength and endurance and definitely was not JUST stretching. I do believe I will be super sore tomorrow.
Going to try this ! Don’t shy away because of the cottage cheese.
Need to remember this when failure happens!!
I love being a personal trainer and health and wellness enthusiast. That being said, as a collective group, we personal trainers, group exercise instructors, PE teachers, and other health and wellness enthusiast are not perfect. Welcome to my thoughts and rants about living a healthy lifestyle. The things I eat, my activity level, and my random thoughts may be surprising to you. The point is that we are not perfect. I guess I can only speak for myself and my friends, but just because we live and love health and wellness does not mean that we don’t have a drink once in a while and eat sweet and salty foods. We don’t get exactly 8 hours of sleep, workout every day, and live on fruits, vegetables, and water. We are regular people, and we are as different in our health and wellness behaviors as everyone else. I hope the posts…

This was a good insight to supplementation……Take a read!
Are you currently taking any supplements?
“Yes! I don’t exercise like I should and I eat too much junk, but I am doing this part right. I do a meal replacement from muscle milk in the morning instead of breakfast because any breakfast is better than no breakfast, right? I take a one-a-day and fish oil from walmart. I’m also taking my fat burner, the animal pack thingy that the nutrition guy at GNC said I should take, and the rasberry ketones from doctor OZ. So I don’t need any help here!”
When it comes to health and fitness, supplementation is an important topic to be considered. The average person eats way too much of the wrong stuff and way to little of the right stuff to support an active and healthy metabolism and therefore supplementation is a great way to ensure that all the correct building blocks are available…

I have recently been thinking about how I feel about cheat meals. For me personally if I cheat once the likelihood of me doing it for the rest of the day are very high because fatty processed foods are engineered to make you crave more, but if you don’t give into your cravings every once in a while the whole binge episode happens. I think what I’ve decided to do is if I am in a situation where eating healthy is not an option then it is ok, but I would rather choose a healthier option of they dessert or craving and go with that instead. I donno it is kind of tricky. Please comment on your thoughts!-
